From a single apartment project in 1967 to over 180 thriving rental communities today, family-owned Wilhoit Properties, Inc. has played a pivotal role in providing much-needed housing throughout the South and Midwest. In the 1980s, as housing prices rose relative to earnings, Wilhoit Properties, Inc. began utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs to keep costs down for renters, becoming a leading provider of LIHTC homes in the region. In the 2000s, we took it a step further by vertically integrating our processes to control quality and costs throughout the entire development cycle, including construction, financing, and management.
